Song of the Day: Thrice, “Black Honey”
Apologies for the self-promotion, but it’s not every day that you release a record after a four-year hiatus. Bear with me.
This is the first song we jammed on after we decided we were going to end the hiatus. If I recall correctly, it was a quick voice memo Teppei had of the opening guitar line, played on a crummy guitar. And I think a snippet of that original recording might have found its way into the final mix of the song, but don’t quote me on that.
Above, is a video we shot a couple of weeks ago with Y2K. The concept was conceived by a childhood friend of Ed, Teppei and Dustin’s, Patrick McKenzie, and I think it came out great.
To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere comes out 5/27 on Vagrant Records. You can pre-order it here.
